NODE (Decentralized Community Operating System)

 🌟 What is NODE?

NODE is a decentralized team collaboration and knowledge space platform. Completely different from traditional applications like Discord, Telegram, or Notion, NODE is positioned with the slogan: "Notion + Discord, but 100% of the data belongs to you."

The application runs entirely in the client browser as a single HTML file. You simply open the file and can use it immediately without registering an account, without a server, or a central database. All data is under your absolute ownership and control.

🛡️ How it works and Core Features (Circle Model)

At the heart of the NODE ecosystem are the Circles. Each Circle acts as both a chat room, a knowledge storage space, and a miniature economic unit.

Self-managed identity: You join the system using a self-generated encryption key (keypair) on your personal computer, not issued by any server.

Peer-to-peer (P2P) network: Messages and files are transmitted directly between users (WebRTC) and stored locally on your device (IndexedDB).

Digital signature governance mechanism: Because there is no central database, the Circle owner's authority is enforced through encryption. When you delete a Circle or kick a member, the system will distribute a "Digital Signature Order." Member devices receiving the order will automatically authenticate and delete local data, or rotate the encryption key so the kicked member cannot read new messages.

MVP (Early Phase) features in this demo: creating/joining Circles via random IDs, real-time chat with channels, file sharing/attachments, a collaborative Wiki knowledge base, a Kanban task board, a Voting/polls module, a local-only private AI assistant, and Circle deletion governed by the Digital Signature Order mechanism.

🚀 Exclusive Differentiating Features (Expansion Phase)

What makes NODE superior to other centralized platforms lies in its Local-First AI:

Absolutely Private AI Assistant: Each Circle integrates an AI "brain" running directly on your device. In the full product this runs a real model via WebGPU; in this lightweight browser demo it is simulated with a local keyword search & summary engine so you can see the workflow with zero data ever leaving your device.

Rich Module Ecosystem: A Circle includes not only chat but also subsystems such as: Topic Channels, File Sharing, Wiki/Knowledge Base (collaborative editing), Task Boards (Kanban), and Voting Systems — all demonstrated below.

💎 Ownership Model & Cost of Use (Freemium)

NODE does not rely on advertising or selling user data. You can always "join an unlimited number of other people's Circles" completely free of charge. Costs only apply when you want to own more Circles or use advanced supporting infrastructure:

1. Free Package (0 VND): Own up to 3 Circles, with basic file size and AI limitations.

2. Pro Package (~220,000 VND/month): Own up to 50 Circles, with expanded file size, additional AI queries, and personal Relay support.

3. Advanced Packages (Business/Enterprise): Suitable for organizations and businesses requiring large-scale management.

Optional paid services address the limitations of P2P networks:

Personal Relay Node & Cloud Backup: Helps keep data (end-to-end encrypted) online even when all Circle members are offline, and supports seamless synchronization when you switch devices.

AI Credits: Purchase additional credits to use large AI models in the cloud when your personal computer isn't powerful enough.

Node Domain: Purchase attractive domain names (e.g., `node://aivn`) instead of hard-to-remember random ID strings.

🎯 Who is this project for?

NODE targets tech-savvy users, companies, freelance teams, classes, or professional groups—those who prioritize "data privacy," fear their personal information being exploited, and desire a secure workspace where AI can deeply understand internal data without leaking it externally.

You can try the DEMO version below (the user manual is at the bottom of the article).
